Doug what can I say what a man we had some great times together and some great holidays in Spain and turkey but there was one holiday in my mind we went to the isle of white we had a great day at the adventure park and you went on the zip wire I can just see you now with a fag in your gob and landing in a big dirty puddle still with the fag in ya gob we laughed so much I have not just lost a father in law I have lost a best friend may you rest in peace mate xxx

There is no such thing as the perfect father. Working rubbish jobs to make sure we had clothes on our back and pressies on birthdays and at christmas. Getting me up at silly o'clock to go fishing, swearing when I got in a tangle! Taking us the club, getting drunk and getting in trouble with Mum. Loving the grandchildren all the same. Having no patience at all. Always taking an interest in Karens, Michelles, mine and Marks life. Being our dad. There is no such thing as a perfect dad, and for that you were perfect. I will miss you and will always Love you. Woz x

Thanks for being our dad for all the love the laughs , for working all those jobs so we were looked after , for loving mum for loving all the grandkids. For supporting Coventry city!! I miss you and love you so much dad it’s breaking my heart that you won’t answer the phone and say hello Michelle do you want your mum ! But at least no more pain sleep tight dad all our love to you now and forever
